Career and Public Service

Pastor Dickey began his career working with the City of Biloxi in the Administration Community Development Department as a Planning Technician. His public service career expanded when he successfully ran for Biloxi City Council in 1993, where he served three consecutive terms (12 years) as a Ward Two Councilmember. In 2005, following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, Rev. Dickey played a key role in coordinating the E.H. Potter Resurrection Center in D’Iberville. This relief and recovery center focused on providing pastoral care, mental and psychological support, and youth mentoring for children and young adults aged 3 to 24. The center’s mission was to help individuals recover from the trauma caused by the disaster.
